Minnesota Cop Justifies Killing Philando Castile Bacause His Car “Smelled Like Weed”

Yesterday, the disturbing dash cam footage of Former Officer Jeronimo Yanez approaching Castile’s car and opening fire on him after he calmly told him he had a licensed, legal weapon. Today, his statements to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are being looked at via The Star Report. The officer claims in the document, that a wiff of marijuana provoked him to grab his gun and murder the father in from of his family. Yanez claims that Castile had to be dangerous if he had ‘the audacity’ to smoke the plant.
“I thought, I was gonna die and I thought if he’s, if he has the, the guts and the audacity to smoke marijuana in front of the five-year-old girl and risk her lungs and risk her life by giving her secondhand smoke and the front seat passenger doing the same thing then what, what care does he give about me,” Yanez told the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Wow.
“Being that … the inside of the vehicle smelled like marijuana um I didn’t know if he was keeping it on him for protection, for, from a, a drug dealer or anything like that.”
